LSES staff pay a lot of lip service to parents on working with them to meet children’s needs, but I have not seen adequate follow-through. Favoritism is tolerated and I have seen bullying behavior from both students and staff. It has been a genuine disappointment because Lacey has nice features like a school garden and outdoor classroom. There needs to be more willingness to communicate regularly with parents, address behavioral concerns appropriately and in a timely manner, and a better culture overall. We are considering enrolling our child in a private school next year so her needs are better met.
