North Pines

This is a school for kids who have been designated as "ED" or Emotionally Disturbed. My son spent two years here and he went steadily downhill the entire time. It is like a prep school for juvenile hall. If you can, avoid this place. The school system likes sending kids there because it's a public school, but you get what you pay for. They should shut this place down and put the funds towards placing the kids in private or charters schools that are actually equipped to help -- not just house the kids and wait for them to grow out of their difficulties. The principal is a nice man, but the teachers are just awful, and if has the feeling of a prison.
