5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe TA's (teaching assistants) nurses office, cafeteria staff and even janitorial truly care about the kids but the teacher and the administration are absolutely terrible in dealing with the students. As you can see by the fact that the school is performing in the bottom 20% in the state and the bottom 15% in the country. Spending 20K per student and getting these results should have parents with pitchforks showing up at the school board but the school board and the supervisors just let half of the schools in this county be dumpsters while the rich kids in the Crozet area, like Brownsville and and at Western Albemarle High School get the Taj Mahal schools my kids are bused from way south to go to this hellhole of a school. (Nice facilities, equipment and furniture, do not make up for incompetent staff.Parent Review5y ago11 Reviews - Johnson Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of our children went to Johnson Elementary School. The community there is wonderful, the teachers are caring and excellent, the culture is supportive and kind. I had many friends who sent their kids to private schools, and I believe my children received a better education at Johnson Elementary than they would have at any area private school. Wonderful, Wonderful school!Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - Jackson-Via Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went there from 1st to 4th (2013- 2017) and it was so amazing and all of the teachers were so friendly and kind. It was overall just a fantastic experience for me and all of my friends. I would tell everyone I know to out their kids at Jackson-via any day of the week. It truly is a great school.Other Review5y ago6 Reviews - Clark Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageISC provides the perfect balance of a school that's fun, Montessori style approach, with enough academics to prepare students for first grade. Additionally, they learn the invaluable skill of a second language. The teachers are beyond qualified, even for the after school program. And the administration is hilarious, communicative, and focused on fostering community. 5 stars!Parent Review8y ago2 Reviews - The Covenant School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have 2 kids at Peabody and they have been there for 5 years. The result has been well-adjusted kids with a robust, positive and worldly outlook. This school seems to focus on one goal – educating. They don’t veer off-course into religious dogma and are not dominated by the sports program. Our kids and their friends have healthy relationships with each other and life in general. They are open to people from all walks of life and have developed great social skills even in a small school environment. Make no mistake, Peabody is a high-performance, high-character school and there is student body turnover every year for both behavioral and academic reasons. There is also pretty high educator turnover. I think that teaching at Peabody may burnish a resume’ and that is what some teachers use it for. However, in our 5 years, the consistency of the core products; high quality education and ethical character building, have not diminished. This year the Head of School is new and has been impressive. Parents need to clearly establish their expectations/limitations on the homework load. We have found the administrators and teachers responsive to our needs. At Peabody, you will find your great kid surrounded by other great kids. In a region with lots of quality choices, Peabody remains a no-brainer for our family.Parent Review9y ago58 Reviews - Charlottesville Hosp. Ep.
