Glebewood

"It has been twelve months since my wife and I moved in to Glebewood in Arlington. We were originally convinced to buy our townhouse by the relatively low financial burden it placed on us, in part due to the lack of any HOA fees. What I perceived as negatives ended up not being as bad as I had envisioned. Larger parks are a short drive away. Street parking, while less ideal than a driveway, is always available. The shops and bars behind our home haven't been noisy. And while I thought we simply lucked out with the neighbors we got (we did, and still think they are the greatest in the neighborhood), we came to realize that, while diverse in terms of age, views, background, and occupation, the people in the area are just all-around good folks. Not just "good" in the sense that you could borrow a cup of flour or ask them to keep the noise down on a weekday night. More like "good" in the shoveling eachother's walkways after blizzards, block partying, baking newcomers banana nut muffins every weekend for their first month, or helping to put up a fence... kind of way. That sense of community is something we looked hard for and we're glad we ended up where we did."
