10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal Grygar is kind, articulate and caring of the students and any parent concerns. My daughter seems to be doing well, even though she had to repeat a grade coming from private school. There is pressure to conform and the STARR tests are very stressful. Mild bullying seems overlooked. A few of the teachers seem quick to blame the parent for absolutely anything that is amiss, even though the student is at school all day under their supervision. Side note and although this certain teacher is no longer on staff, I do not believe she had adequate knowledge or training to teach math to 5th graders who needed extra assistance. There is no math tutoring available for those struggling. Overall, this school is a way better choice over Waco ISD. I do recommend. Parentsquare app communication is almost daily with updates.Parent Review2mo ago3 Reviews - Hewitt Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI transferred my daughter to Midway ISD—specifically Spring Valley Elementary—from another district, and the difference has been incredible. She genuinely loves school now. The principal is kind, caring, firm, and deeply supportive, and it’s clear that both students and staff respect and admire her.The teachers are outstanding and hold high expectations, which my daughter is motivated to meet. At her previous school, she was often overlooked because she was high-achieving; once she showed mastery, there was little effort to further challenge or enrich her learning. At Spring Valley, she is fully engaged, appropriately challenged, and consistently encouraged to keep growing. She actually wants to be at school—even when she’s not feeling well—and she’s learning meaningful character traits and habits that we value as a family. This is an exceptional school and district. I would give it more than five stars and highly recommend it to any family considering this school.Parent Review2mo ago6 Reviews - South Bosque Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from Robinson ISD to Midway ISD and I am so glad we did! South Bosque is an amazing school. The teachers love what they do and have changed my children's lives with regards to how they view school. They love South Bosque! There is a lot of parent support and community support.Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews - Castleman Creek Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe started in 2nd grade. Loved the required uniforms and all of the teachers we came across seem absolutely wonderful. Principal Purdy was wonderful as well. (She is no longer there as of 2025). My daughter loved the environment and I watched her thrive. We were able to stay from 2nd grade to 4th grade. Every year the tuition raised, until we finally could not afford to pay. The price is currently $8k. We transferred to the local public school where it was determined my daughter was academicly behind a year and was made to repeat a grade. She went from A's and B's at private school to barely passing grades in public school and completely failing math.Parent Review10mo ago4 Reviews - Park Hill Elementary
