North Georgetown

I used to go there and I loved it sooo much it was so fun but not when people would get into fights and arguments and stuff.

My student has 6/20 students in her 5th grade class that her special needs. I feel that this distracts from the rest of the class's learning as the teacher and other students must wait to help the special students with more understanding and learning. The kids that need special education should in fact have a special education class that they can go to, they should not be mixed in with the other students, they are special for a reason, and not in a bad way.Furthermore, the children no longer have grades in the classes. They have a "mastered" or "approaching" next to the different categories that they have gone over. I can't disagree with this more. Why is there no homework? Why do we have no grades on the assignments? Why is the learning curve so steep? I wish I could afford a private education for my child at this point. I feel like she is beyond held back by this school specifically. Maybe it's the entire GISD, maybe it's just Frost Elementary.They've also stopped calling holidays by their name as of this year. Last year they had no problem saying Halloween or Thanksgiving, now it's all politically correct nonsense.

My kids have been attending this school since 2018. Coming from a different state, I was a little nervous about moving to a small-town school, but over the years, we have had a wonderful experience.I’ve always been able to communicate with their teachers, and because my kids are in the dual education program, they have had the opportunity to learn from some truly amazing teachers. I especially appreciate the smaller class sizes compared to other schools, as I feel it allows the teachers to give each student more individual attention.I currently have two children left at this elementary school, and one of the things I appreciate most is how welcoming the staff is. My kids can walk down the hallway and be greeted with a smile and by name. Those little things really make a difference and help make the school feel like a community.Overall, the staff members have been amazing, and we have been very fortunate to have had such a positive experience. There have been a few staff members over the years who were not the right fit, but thankfully, they are no longer there. The teachers and staff who remain truly care about the students, and I’m grateful my children have had the opportunity to attend this school.

Wolf Ranch Elementary is an amazing school. It has been over crowded since it opened and still manages to perform well overall. The students are kind and respectful. The staff are responsive and helpful. We have had nothing but positive experiences with the school since day one.

We just finished our first year at Mitchell and had an amazing year. Staff was kind, caring, and very responsive to any/all questions. My son blossomed over the year and is excited and happy to go to school each day! We can't wait for another year at Mitchell!

Horrible "school" - Teachers rely way too heavily on YouTube videos, children are taught about spirituality and yoga without parental consent or knowledge whatsoever, pickup takes way too long no matter how early you show up, teachers lack patience, would not recommend, but am relieved they are shutting down permanently.
