3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBurton elementary has improved tremendously over the past year. Attention is being given to the maintenance and upkeep of the school and it’s grounds now and the school is getting back to being the hub of the community and getting students and parents involved again. It is such a terrific turn-around thanks to the new leadership at the school, mainly the new Principal.Other Review8y ago3 Reviews - Lula Belle Goodman Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you can save yourself the trouble enroll your kids in your families district if there soned to Goodman elementary. This school does not care about the kids I have had too many bad experiences with them with conflicts with my family members and they cannot seem to resolve anything. In fact they believe that my family member is lying a nine-year-old kid is lying when he comes home crying because he’s being bullied at school. And when the teacher is told about this she acts so surprised and says said it’s not possible. The very next day the teacher addressed the class telling them to not run to their Parents saying that they’re being bullied when they’re only being called names that that is not bullying and she went ahead and added my nephews name into this door h she decided to give the kids after the meeting we had . What does this tell me these teachers are not connecting with these kids these teachers are not doing their job the way they’re certification the way the program they have to finish to become a teacher says they should . Now I find myself following an ambulance following my nine-year-old nephew that is now going to the hospital because of how much these teachers take care of the kids. There’s been many bad experiences one of many that made me so mad was that on a rainy day we called 20 minutes before dismissal to let them know to let our children wait in the office because they are walkers and we did not want them to walk did they do their job they did not when we got there 5 ish minutes before dismissal she said oh yes let me buzz it in at this time my kids were already getting wet they were in a neighborhood on a bench getting soaked and they had to walk all the way back because I was not there to pick them up because I was at the front office like they were supposed to be my kids got soaked, why? because this school cannot get its personnel to do their job. Save yourself the trouble do not send your kids here. I wish the district had more options to resolve issues like this. Also, learning with accommodations is not supported here my nephews requires A pen that helps you read and we went out of our way to get him one and in a few weeks it was lost and when he saw where it was that it was in his teachers desk and his teacher knew he has been looking for it because a few days before he asked him hey did you lose your pen is mom mad at you? And then the following days my nephew saw his pen on her desk and took it because he knew it was hisParent Review4y ago10 Reviews - Rosa Parks Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRosa Parks Elementary has been a welcoming school for our family. The staff and administration genuinely include parents as partners in their children’s education, and there’s a strong sense of community. The teachers are respectful, supportive, and truly care about their students’ growth and well-being. While the teaching staff does a great job motivating students, I feel there’s room to make learning more engaging so that students are consistently excited about what they’re learning. The school offers strong emotional and social support, and my child feels safe and cared for here. Overall, I would recommend this school to other families.Parent Review9mo ago22 Reviews - Savannah Lakes Elementary School
