It became apparent that the school was not adequately staffed or properly trained to support children with special needs. During the evaluation process, while my child was being assessed for potential special education services, her difficulties with understanding instructions seemed to be viewed as behavioral problems rather than signs that she needed additional support.By only the second week of school, my child was suspended despite actively being evaluated for learning and developmental needs. One particularly upsetting incident involved three adults escorting my first grader to the office in a manner that felt unnecessarily excessive and distressing for such a young child. It was heartbreaking to watch my child, who previously loved school, become fearful and cry about returning.Ultimately, I made the decision to withdraw my child and enroll her in another school where the staff demonstrated the knowledge, training, and compassion necessary to properly support her educational needs.Parent Review1mo ago37 Reviews - Rockbrook Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, my experience at Roockbook Elementary has been deeply disappointing because I witnessed and experienced what discrimination looks like within a school setting. Families are not treated equally, and instead of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, there are clear signs of bias and exclusion.Safety and trust are essential in any school, yet I did not feel that my child or my family was truly safe from unfair treatment, discrimination, or harsh judgment. The lack of genuine family engagement made it difficult to feel like a valued partner in my child’s education. While schools should prioritize equity, respect, and fair treatment for all students and families, my experience here did not reflect those values. I hope the administration will take accountability and work toward meaningful change, but at this time, I cannot recommend this school.Parent Review9mo ago23 Reviews - Landry Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish I could say this is a good school but I never got to enroll my child. The front desk person who deals with enrollment gave me the hardest time trying to enroll my child. The tip of the iceberg was when I was trying to give her documentation for proof of residency considering I already told her that the house we lived in at the time was passed down by family and the family members that owned it lived in another country. On top of that I had to submit an affidavit for my son immunization records and had to end up redoing it. After getting a new paper sent to me to fill out she tells me “we need the previous affidavit. How am I gonna re do an affidavit that’s already been signed and notarized. I sent an email back asking for her to tell me which EXACT documents were needed and asking her to explain how to get the exact same affidavit and redo it suddenly she can’t reply to email. This was back in 2023 by the way.Parent Review4mo ago5 Reviews - Pinkerton Elementary School
