"I see people walking dogs a lot. Mine stay mostly in the backyard barking at them as they walk by.

"I've lived here for three years and have enjoyed it. This is a very safe neighborhood, and you often see police patrolling the area. The local elementary & middle schools are excellent. There are sidewalks and a small park within walking distance. Although it's only 20 minutes from downtown, it feels quite rural, with many working ranches nearby. There is a large variety of wildlife close by - hummingbirds to hawks, wild bunnies, the occasional raccoon and possum, deer and coyote. Residents are largely families with kids or retirees who are quiet friendly and keep their yards tidy. The only downside is the lack of shopping. The closest grocery is Walmart, the opening of which seems to have forced the closing of the two neighborhood grocery stores. There is a glut of fast-food places if one likes inedible food-like substances, but not many actual restaurants and no farmers market. However, there is a large assortment of retail stores, restaurants, and movie theaters within 10 minutes of the neighborhood."
