3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have never seen a worse excuse for a school in my life. Kids are constantly bullied, and nothing is ever done about it. I can't even say a fifth of what needs to be said here because my post will just get deleted again, but it is the truth. My children are home schooled this year, and now we are moving just to get out of this district. NEVER AGAIN, DON'T DO IT. Not even if you find a house that is nice and cheap in the area. My husband week have a 2 hour committee each day to get into a worthwhile school for our children, but after or one year experience here, he considers it worth it. What a nightmare.Parent Review11y ago4 Reviews - Carver Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful teachers but awful administration staff. The principal is never on campus on important events and when she is there she seems uninterested in engaging in the event. The Hispanic community is not even addressed at times. There was recently a family night event hosted at Carver where most of the parents attending were Hispanic, yet the speech given was not translated to Spanish to accommodate to the needs of the non-English speaking parents. This event was also very unorganized as there was not enough seating provided for the families. Parents are sometimes not even notified of events. In addition, there are no incentives offered to students such as student of the week. Overall the school is very poorly managed.Parent Review11y ago4 Reviews - James Bowie Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToo many great things to say about this school. The teachers, staff, Sr. Maureen, the volunteers, and students are all amazing. Sr. Maureen loves every single student like he or she is her own. She would do anything for the students at St. Joseph. She always has the students’ best interest and safety as her priority. If bad weather is in the forecast she will alert the parents to stay home, if necessary, or alert them to please pickup their child(ren) before the bad weather is expected to be in the area. This will begin her second year at St. Joseph and the school has seen so many improvements in the short time she has been there. It was great before, but she has made it even better. The curriculum changes are outstanding. The students have access to IXL, Sadlier online, professional intervention if needed, all on top of the excellent teachers. The staff consists of experienced educators with years of experience. This school is always having visits from previous students just dropping by to be able to walk the halls and be on campus one more time.Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews
