I am a parent of a autistic child , when I registered my child here I knew right off that the special ed teacher knew nothing about austism. Needless to say that the principal or the homeroom teacher was no help either!! However if your child does not require any additional help as far as special ed . Then maybe this is the school for you. I have never been treated so badly before at a school the primcipal seemed to have a personal relationship with many of the children all except mine. Which lead me to believe either she was prejudice because of my sons disorder or because his skin was slightly darker .

They need to do more about bullying

Teachers are great...it is one of the best schools in the PSJA ISD...the teacher involvement is excellent.... Teachers actually care about the education of the students....I had the best elementary experience with my daughter at this school...

I have three children there they all have a disability and they get treated poorly

There are some great teachers at this school. The GT program is pretty good. The staff for the most part has done well to have this school running well. When I say staff, I mean teachers, cafeteria, teacher aides, and cleaning staff, I cannot say much about the the "higher up" administration. I know that in most cases the staff reflects a good leader but in some cases that is not always the case. This school in my opinion is rated average because it lacks structure from the administration and from the lack of parent involvement. Some of the parents don't care for the type of education that their child receive; they see the school as a day care center. The kids need to be held accountable as well as the parents and if that were to happen, this would make it a great school but unfortunately you need a great leader to spear head this project and unfortunately I don't see Dr. King helping out in this issue. Over all as long as your kid has a good teacher that is all that matters so hope that each year your kid gets one other wise good luck for the future of the kids.

My daughter attends this school and this past year was her first year enrolled as a kindergarten. I am ecstatic to say that her teacher was brilliant and patient. My daughter finished the year knowing how to read, count, and was recommended for GT classes next year. Altough, one thing the school can improve in is by adding a playground for the kids and having more extracurricular activities such as Flokoric, and spelling B.
