"A lot of people like to walk their dog. It is Close to the dog park at Nelson Park Camp Barkley. People do not pick up their dogs poop though in your yard. "

"The ambulance is always going to the Canterbury Crossing apts. Police officer are always being called to those apartments. Cars drive so fast it’s not safe for any kids to play outside. Cars passing by with loud music late at night. "

"Easy access to main roads and freeways. Community events downtown and at the fairgrounds. City zoo with children’s play areas, dog pard and small lake. Very friendly people. "

I attended Taylor Elementary from 2000-2005 and had a wonderful experience as a child. However, my experience as a parent has been vastly different. Unfortunately, the school has changed for the worse.I've had several issues with the principal and teachers, who seem unresponsive to concerns. When attempting to address issues, the principal often avoids meetings and deflects responsibility.Some concerning issues include:Favoritism towards students who excel academically, leaving struggling students behindLack of patience and support from teachers for students needing extra helpBlaming parents for students' struggles instead of taking responsibilityAggressive attendance policies, with excessive harassment when children are absent due to illnessAs someone who once cherished their time at Taylor Elementary, it's disheartening to see the decline in administration and teaching quality. I hope the school will take steps to address these concerns and provide a better education and experience for its students.
