"There is no fences in areas for dogs to play and run around. It seems often that people are not picking up after their dogs go."
  • Trulia User
"This is a safer area of Nashville. The neighbors are friendly. There are pet lovers in the area. Some neighbors have young children and enjoy local parks."
  • Cahoul
"Our neighborhood is very dog friendly. Many people walk their dogs. You hardly ever see a dog off leash. People pick up after their pets."
  • Kt D.
"Not a lot of community events here. Very quiet and a lot of people either don’t stay here long or keep to themselves."
  • Cahoul
"Beautifully manicured large yards with huge trees and pretty flowers. Easy access to I-40. Shopping, restaurants, Churches, golfing, swimming, and parks abound. This is a very family oriented area."

"I really like the area! I love how close everything is but you still don’t feel too crowded. There’s a Wal-Mart, Kroger, Sprouts, Target all within less than 10 minutes from here."
  • mc
"Takes long to go three miles-roads are a mess-I wish we had sidewalks! There needs to be a light at post road and Davidson "
  • Mitch L.
"Safe it is nice. Lots of people on the roads walking. Not a ton of traffic. Friendly neighbors and not a lot of disturbances"
  • Mrpetrelis
"There are a lot of people walking dogs but not a lot of people picking up after their dogs. Some don’t put their dogs on leashes either."

"I have lived here in this neighborhood for several years and have enjoyed it.All of my neighbors are friendly and help when needed. When we move we hope to be able to continue living here if we can afford it. We are retired and on a limited income"
  • Suethal25
"Love it! Child friendly, pet friendly, huge lots over an acre to two, wild life abounds...can’t praise it too highly. Very close to shops, interstate, but quiet, peaceful and safe."
  • Suethal25
"We’ve lived here for over 20 years, raising our children here. It’s a dead end street with very little traffic and has remained as beautiful and untouched as it was when we moved here in ‘97. Were close to downtown, yet, are surrounded by natural ridge-lines filled with wildlife: deer, bobcats, foxes, owls, cardinals, wild turkeys, etc. Lot sizes are large, up to two acres, but we have ours mowed twice a month very cheaply. Plus, we are in biking distance of Alison’s records, Brewhouse West, and other wonderful amenities. We love it here and not that many houses come on the market each year."
  • David J. L.
"West Meade is a wonderful neighborhood due to it large lots (acre minumum zoning predominates), beautuful mature trees, low density, and close proximity to all the amenities of Belle Meade, West End, and Green Hills. A great area for walking, running, and biking."
