F- child was segregated at lunch and classroom left alone and not offerd any help came home everyday dehydrated and starving

This school has a positive atmosphere where kids feel safe thanks to teachers support. Teachers focus on accommodations and accessibility for students to ensure personal success.

I’m a former 5th grader and I want other families to know what happened here. Over the last two school years, at least 14 students were yelled at and punished for speaking Spanish during non-instructional time. There were 6 kids the year before 5th grade, and 8 kids this past year, including me.It happened with the music teacher, PE teacher, homeroom teacher, and the lunch monitor. We were told “speak English” at lunch, at recess, in the hallways, and even when just talking to friends. Some kids got in trouble and felt scared to talk at school.Schools are supposed to be safe for every kid. Federal law says schools can’t discriminate based on national origin or the language you speak with your friends during free time. This created a hostile environment for us.I’m glad to be going to middle school now, but no student should be punished for speaking to their friends. Families deserve to know this happens here. I hope Old Center changes so future kids don’t go through this.

I couldn't be prouder when a tell people my kids went to Stratton!I'm not sure what's going on at Madison Middle, but I know that the kids who went through Stratton know how to act when they move next door.All of the students need a strong foundation like they get at Stratton Elementary.

There’s a lot I could say regarding the harmful religious teachings of this institution, but I’ll keep it short and focus on less subjective aspects of my experience. I experienced the worst racial discrimination of my life between roughly the end of sixth grade until I graduated here. Not a single faculty member ever stepped in and did anything about it. In fact, I was told that I was the one bullying. I wouldn’t with this experience on anyone, but if you’re not white, please don’t send your kids here. They will have a bad experience and no one will help them.
