"great people, wife range of people, established community, close to the city but tucked away in our own little world, always people walking there dogs, not unusual to see whole families walking at once, when people walk by they speak"

"People are always walking there dogs & there are two dog parks within a mile of my apartment. My apartments are the gazebo apartments & there is a dog park within the complex. "

"Not a walking friendly neighborhood, very few sidewalks, and cars flying by. The Zoo is very close so that’s a plus."

"lots of dogs in the neighborhood, big lots too. Most are fenced in, but we have 3 dogs and they have more then enough room. "

"I was the first renter here. The landlord did an AMAZING job setting up this location and is the very best! They go above and beyond to make this rental a home away from home. It was an AWESOME experience every day I was here."

"Cars drive too fast up and down our dead end street. We wish there were sidewalks on each street. That would make it feel safer. "

"Nice mix of elderly and young residents. Very residential. The 16th district Facebook page is always juicy with helpful neighborly information! Such a great neighborhood within 5 miles of downtown. Much safer than East Nash!"

"My wife and I bought a house on Hewlett Drive about two years ago and we love the area! The neighbors are welcoming and friendly, and everyone in the area is really focused on bringing more young families and popular retailers to the entire South Nashville area. Our community is very involved with matters concerning redevelopment and the city council, and it's wonderful that so many people are dedicated to our improvement. Most of the houses were built between 1950-1970, so the materials (often 100% brick) are quality and the construction built to last (unlike more recent developments). While the schools are improving, they aren't great, but they are trending toward the right direction. My wife and I encourage our friends to purchase homes near us (3 of whom have), and we walk our dog daily - often at night - and have never had a safety concern (usually we end up stopping and chatting with a neighbor or two along the route). A recent news article said that the 37211 zip code is the most popular area in Nashville, based on the number of people moving there. I'm glad we bought in this area! "
