This school does not encourage parent involvement unless you were born and raised in this area. I have tried to insert myself as much as possible to be involved in my children's classrooms, and it has been a struggle. And there are unfortunately no extra curricular things for the kids: no music, no art, no second language classes. My kids come home telling me which teachers were yelling in the lunchroom or car line that day. From my experience inside the school, the students are often told how bad they are when they mess up instead of being encouraged by their good behavior.

I have children that attend St. Julian. St. Julian teachers and staff are highly qualified and go above and beyond to ensure my children are succeeding. The teachers go the extra mile and make accommodations whenever it is needed for my children. Communication between myself and the teachers is outstanding. Their curriculum is challenging and is accredited. The religious education is not overwhelming for students who are not Catholic and they teach a very basic Christian value system that is universal to all Christians. I do not feel their religious education is being 'pushed' down my children's throats and I appreciate this. The physical building is a bit older, but I do not mind b/c they are receiving such an excellent education!
