5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is very strict and if you do atleast anything wrong they can kick you out of the class?!?! The worst thing is that some teachers just let students cuss like thats bs and the principal i don't even think she cares a kid was crying and she just looked at him and didn't even ask if he was ok i just wish this school teaching was better and you couldn't be kicked out and teachers be betterStudent Review1mo ago20 Reviews - Burt Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new principals this year are a step down from previous ones. I do not feel they treat all students or parents with respect. However the staff is amazing.Parent Review2y ago14 Reviews - Norman Smith Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFamily engagement is trash. The admin lied and hid referrals all year. The principal lied several times and has yet to do anything to make the situation any better. The teachers are incompetent except Ms. Edward’s. She the only one that has some integrity. I wouldn’t send my dog to this school. They are performing below average for math and reading. Explore other options for your family.Other Review7mo ago8 Reviews - Minglewood Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBack in fourth grade I was getting bullied Very shy so I didn’t speak about it for a while I finally did tell the teacher I was getting bullied They did it do anything about it. And back in fifth grade I was getting bullied again and I was still shy so my friend said it for me and the teacher looked my way and just turned back around this school always say they don’t condone bullying in their school but when someone says they are they don’t care I use to go their but now I’m in middle schoo I don’t recommend if your taking your kid out of their last school because of bullying.Other Review7mo ago9 Reviews - Tabernacle Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs someone who has taught in the public school system at CMCSS for years, I have to say I will be sending my children here when they are able. CA has seriously impressed me ever since I started working here. The students are held to a higher standard both academically and behaviorally, the smaller class sizes are beneficial for both teachers and students, and the culture here is at the very least miles above even the highest performing public school in Clarksville (where I taught at for years). I have noticed a few reviews regarding favoritism and bullying. While I obviously can't speak for everyone's experience, I personally as a teacher do not notice any of those things going on. In fact, I have actually observed the opposite behavior. Kids that I know who would have had a rough social interaction at the public schools I taught actually thrive here and I have been pleasantly surprised how much some of the kids encourage others here. We absolutely have a handful of kids that think they are too cool but they typically get called out on that behavior. Academics are also very impressive, I think I can easily say more than half the teachers here have an advanced degree in their field (public schools barely require just a bachelors) and most of the upper school staff is qualified and currently teaching dual-enrollment college courses through Austin Peay State University. The highest praise I can give this school is that as a teacher, I want my kids going here as they grow up.Teacher Review1y ago39 Reviews
