NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWilliam Thomas Academy is an EXCELLENT choice for private education (K-12). This school soars above the other more well known private schools in Sumter. The school's motto holds true, "Preparing kids for college before 1st grade"! My child attends this school and she not only gets the best education, but she feels loved and safe. I will recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to excell in academics as well as life! They are developing winners. The school is small due to it's newness and could use some more diversity, but that could be attributed to the lack of advertisement. I think this school could be one of the best in the nation if people would support it. The tuition is extremely reasonable compared to the quality and level of education that your children will receive. We love this school and can't find enough positive things to say about the school staff and education curriculum!Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Crosswell Drive Elementary

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school in 2001-2006. My time there was bad because I was bullied a lot and the teachers never really did anything about it. But once the bully was being bullied themselves. They did something about it. Which is weird because they have a no bully tolerance zone policy. Which was ineffective and they never really followed. I remember my 3rd grade teacher making me stay behind for lunch because I couldn't get the division problems right. I had a learning disability and she wasn't really helping me. We had reported it to the prinicipal and she tried talking to her but the same thing kept happening. In the 4th grade, I had another chance to move after leaving the school in the 4th grade. But I decided once we got back. I wanted to finish out my grade and not have gone to three different elementary schools. So anyways, I came back thinking that the forth grade would be different. But the same thing happened again. I moved the following year in the fifth grade and I decided to go to the same school.I just wished that I would've known better and went to a different elementary school that actually helped.Other Review9y ago2 Reviews
