"Close to school, police present makes you feel safe. Corner store is family run, SUPER nice guy. Parking can get tough during baseball games."

"I've lived in the neighborhood for 5 years. It's great! Hampton park is a great place to spend an afternoon, and great new restaurants are cropping up all the time!"

"I live in neighboring Elliotboro and know the area well. Rapidly up and coming area with some great blocks like Kennedy and many others and a few that are getting better. Still close enough to walk downtown and easy to get to MUSC and tons of parks and restaurants, etc."

"The neighborhood is ten minutes closer to everything than Wagener Terrace, and it is incredibly convenient being so close to the crosstown. Walking distance to upper King, Hampton Park, all the graduate schools, MUSC, but very quiet at night. Mitchell Elementary has a 4 yr. old Montessori program and is drawing a big crowd of new young parents - test scores are high. We know and like our neighbors. Parking is easy, no tickets, no signage, no decals."
