"Great neighborhood one of the best locations in Charleston 12 minutes from DT, AP & Mt Pleasant and 20 minutes to the beach. Friendly neighbors you see people walking and jogging and kids playing outside. Great area for parents to raise their children. "

"Best location in Charleston to get to AP Mt Pleasant DT 26 or 17 and all the shopping. Mature tress older established neighborhood with many young couples. "

"People are very nice, engaged, and willing to help a stranger with no reservation. It’s beautiful and humbling and a common occurrence. Also, the area is not as class-segregated as other parts of Charleston. In West Ashley, you can find a great home for over a million dollars, and you can find a great home for 60,000 and a little elbow grease. With its historical natural park, good schools, convenient central location, hip and quaint cultural vibe; and being a great place for someone at ANY stage of their life—from young children to retirement—one could easily find a place to call home in West Ashley Charleston. Its multi-ethnic/multi-cultural population, friendly residents, and the town’s ability to accommodate (sidewalks everywhere, affordability, etc.) make West Ashley unique, at least to me :-) oh! And of course the marsh and wildlife preservation. Charlestowne Landing! If you were looking for more specifics, one would be...like how close the neighbors are: if you’re a youth or a teen sneaking out at night or something, if the neighbors see you, they WILL be telling your parents the next day. So people look out for each other in a whole lot of ways. This neighborhood and area, for whatever reason, fosters care and involvement, sometimes petty squabble, but 95% of the time it’s about having everyone’s back, everyone. It’s beautiful."

"The Northbridge terrace neighborhood is so convenient to all parts of the area. Several entrance points allow residents to quickly travel in all directions to local shopping, downtown, north areas, beaches, or Mt Pleasant."
