The Garden Montessori school is a wonderful place to work. Students in our school benefit greatly from individualized learning plans and classroom activity choices. We provide materials for each subject on open shelving that is accessible to students on a daily basis. Student interests are a focus of classroom learning. So, in addition to learning the required basics, our student learn so much more - from information about the solar system and how our world was created, to learning about the Titanic and how this tragedy changed the world of water travel. Our learning is limited only by our imaginations. We encourage students to reach for the stars and allow students to work at their own levels. We accept students with learning, medical, and behavioral issues, as just another student, by teaching our students about things that cause others problems and how to deal with disabilities of all kinds in a caring manner. Ours is a peaceful education which allows students to learn how to deal with differences in a nonthreatening manner. Students at a very young age learn conflict resolution and how to problem solve.
