7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMiddleton is an excellent school! All of our children attended Middleton and they always had amazing teachers! We were able to walk to the school and that was an important part for our family. The facilities are in good shape and the neighborhoods around the school are well cared for. We highly recommend this school!Parent Review5y ago9 Reviews - St Francis School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Paul Lutheran school exudes excellence from every teacher for every grade and its Principal, Shannon Freudenthal. This is a stellar school offering loving and nurturing academic environment and teaches classical Christian subjects. St. Paul also offers great extra-curricular activities such as Spanish and chess club. The recent hiring of Mr. Hues brings a refreshing change to the staff and adds just another wonderful example of a true, natural teacher to the staff. You will not find a better parochial school in the greater Portland area. Go visit St. Paul Lutheran School in Sherwood today! 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! This school has a serious problem handling bullying. There's no follow through on the school's part in working with the bullies to change the behavior. If your child is unique or different in any way they will be targeted & traumatized repeatedly until their self-esteem is so shattered that they will need therapy. Teachers & staff don't hold bullies accountable for their actions. There are too many kids for the staff to effectively handle behavioral challenges. Bullies aren't taught kindness or compassion or to keep their horribly offensive opinions to their selves. While "weak," vulnerable kids slip through the cracks & get lost in chaos. Both of my kids were also taught a fixed mindset by bad teachers that thankfully retired & told that they have "terrible handwriting" but were never taught how to improve that skill. I've had to work with them to show them that handwriting is a skill that can be improved. There are good teachers that try their best but still don't do enough to prevent or deter bullying & the counselor(s) are spread too thin. My friend's kid was bullied so bad that they purposefully moved out of the district bc the middle school has an even worse reputation on handling bullying/harassment.Find a school with a smaller student body & a better track record on bullying.Parent Review11mo ago9 Reviews
