"The events that go on at Lents park during the summer time. And of course the baseball games when the Portland Pickles play. "

"It’s crazy out here But I don’t feel unsafe in my neighborhood. Mind your own and you’ll be good. My kids love it. We have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years now. It’s a rollercoaster. "

"I see many people walking dogs. The traffic and crime in the area is not ideal, however there are many small parks and trails too walk your dog"

"There is a city park for at least every 1.5 square miles and it is surrounded by places to explore and enjoy nature. Such as Powell Butte, Springwater Corridor, Foster Wetlands, Kelly Butte, Johnson Creek and much more. It's a great neighborhood for dogs. Public Transportation is really good."

"House lots are big and dog owners would like the backyard space for their dogs. walking around is quiet, no loose dogs. There are no sidewalks, and that makes safe walking in the street difficult in some areas, ours is a dead end and that’s somewhat better, but sidewalk would be nice, and some side street have them and some don’t."

"Dogs are usually on leashes and are pretty active in the neighborhood. People will walk them around but are not so friendly with others meaning they don’t socialize with dogs walking opposite ways. "

"Powell gets busy and hard to cross. Heading East is easy, heading west gets congested quick. 61st is a good alternative route north."

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe pulled our child after having numerous incidents where the school, in my perspective, put students in harms way either physically or emotionally. There is also a lack of teacher support for special needs students, which inhibits them from moving the class forward as a whole in regards to curriculum.Parent Review1mo ago6 Reviews - West Powellhurst Elementary School
