"People here genuinely lookout for one another. The neighborhood is clam and quiet. Close to farms where you can pick fresh fruit or buy organic honey. Wonderful place to raise children. For the grown ups, wine country is 2 miles away. "

"We just had the local park fixed up, there is an elementary and high school within walking distance. I used to see kids out more often, but the more outdoorsy one all grew up. It's difficult to drive down Kinnaman road once it's within about a half hour of when the high school starts."

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHere is a quote from my daughter, a student who has attended AHP for 3 years: "This the best school ever and I love going here and I make a lot of friends." We've had a great experience at AHP despite the low score. As a former public school counselor, you can't pay too much attention to these scores really, at least not the low ones.Parent Review10mo ago16 Reviews - Beaver Acres Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school would like the parents to be completely involved. Which is great but it's the only good thing about the school. Sure, some of the teachers are great and they love teaching and they're great with the kids. I wish that would fall into the administrations category as well. But my spouse and I have been fighting with the administrations since the moment our child step foot in school. My child has ADHD and at the beginning of the school year did not have a formal diagnosis. He struggled with both his teachers and the other students and they administration office. We finally got him moved to a new classroom. Which only helped a little bit. It wasn't until we threatened to take legal action that the school finally listened to My cries for an IEP. But then we were told it's not even going to start till next year. Because it takes about 6 months to get started. But if they would have listened to me at the beginning of the school year, he would already be set. My son also has a problem with eloping. He has ADHD and very low impulse control. There have been several occasions where his teacher told us they couldn't find him until they got outside. Which to me screams negligence because there are at least 60 adults in that school... Every single classroom has at least one adult in it and he has to walk by at least a dozen of those classrooms to get outside. They have a walking field trip coming up for the kindergarten class and the principal called me personally to tell me that her staff cannot control him by themselves. So unless one of us goes, he's not allowed. Which is I'm pretty sure a legal gray area because he's got a disability and they're singling him out.His teacher is wonderful and she has been very patient with him but seriously the whole administration staff should be replaced with people who actually like children and like their jobs. Cuz the only thing I can think of is the administration must really hate their jobs for us to have that many issues with them.Parent Review2mo ago19 Reviews - Kinnaman Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our family's first year at Life. We came from a different private Christian school in the metro area and were looking for something a bit smaller and for teachers who truly were passionate about what they do and who care about the kids. LCS has been all of that and more. Our kids love coming to school (we have an elementary and a junior high student) and the projects they do are teaching them real life skills. I love seeing the joy teachers have and each student is truly known. They have a new set of curriculum this year for language arts and math in the elementary that has been great for my little one.Parent Review1y ago47 Reviews - Creative Childrens Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExtremely disappointed with the administration at Faith Bible Christian School. Despite claiming to uphold Christian values, they failed to follow their own handbook policies around discipline, student support, and safety. We witnessed racial discrimination, unfair targeting, and inconsistent disciplinary actions—students of color were treated more harshly than their peers. Even more disturbing, multiple reports of sexual harassment by parents and students were ignored or dismissed. Families who raised concerns faced retaliation instead of support. This is not a safe, equitable, or accountable environment. Until leadership takes responsibility and prioritizes student well-being, they will continue to fail the community they claim to serve.Parent Review1y ago24 Reviews - Kindercare Learning Centers #982
