NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe found this school may years ago when our oldest was about to go into second grade. They had been attending public school and we felt that the teachers there were devoting more time to other students that might not have had as much support at home. We felt our child would get more attention in this type of environment. We were amazed that a small school had as many resources as they do. They have a reading and math specialist. They have Spanish class that starts in kindergarten. They have a really nice STEM lab and a computer lab. Being such a small school give a real family feel. There is only 1 class per grade so by the time your student graduates you are very familiar with all the students in the class and the parents. The downfall to that is, mostly in math, students learn at different speeds. They move everyone along at the same pace when some students excel in a subject and other struggle and could use a slower pace. Although not as obvious with the younger students, it is a disadvantage for the older students. They have taken some steps to remediate that in recent years, including dividing up in math class, and I hope they continue to expand that.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Linden Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has gone to Linden from Kindergarten until the present. He is a gifted child, extremely intelligent. They recognized it early and have accommodated accordingly with more challenging work than the typical student in his grade, always keeping in touch with us with great communication. Every teacher he has had, along with the administrative staff have always been great at communicating and coming up with plans to help him achieve his potential and not become bored or dejected about school.I've also, up to this point, noticed they have a good balance of school and home. They don't send him home with homework, but it does occasionally happen and it's usually leading up to an important test. That's one thing I always stress to teachers; let them be kids too. There's no need to be at school for 7 hours a day, only to come home and have to do more school work every night. Kids need to have free time and play.I have nothing but good things to say about Linden Elementary and it's staff. They've been amazing.Parent Review1mo ago6 Reviews
