"I live and work at home. It’s really close to downtown so for most it’s a pretty easy commute. Even going the opposite way of traffic in the mornings if you work out of the city. "

"It has many eclectic bars, cafes, restaurants, and art studios tightly condensed in a small neighborhood. It has a big personality and the people that it attracts bring a distinct vibrancy to the community. The walkability of the neighborhood is unmatched. 5 min from downtown. 15 min to the airport"

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter started in this school last year and she loves it. Her first grade teacher Mrs. Hirzel, is one of the best teachers I have ever seen. Responsible, sweet, fair and goes beyond to help her students learn. She is so committed to the school that even though she retired last year, she volunteers this year and comes each week to help out. And most of its teachers are good teachers, the staff is always working hard to do activities for the kids. Security is not a problem here, never seen anything out of order. Families are more integrated to the school that in other schools in the same district. Staff and families work hard to move school from effective grade to excellent . Only concern, district cut funds on school and they don't have a nurse, art, music, gym and media class were also cut from budget. Hope the city invest all the $$$ the casino is paying in taxes to improve the schools. Overall I recommend this school.Parent Review13y ago2 Reviews - Luis Munoz Marin School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new principal is very disrespectful. People at the front desk is rude and it takes about 20 minutes to have someone open the door when coming into the school. Security guards are always on their cellphones, talking or just browsing. As soon as you enter this school you know something is not right, no one makes you feel welcome. Everyone ignores everything around. I waited to be seen for a long while (after waiting to get in the school) and all the people at the front desk were just talking and laughing very loud. The school is not kept clean. Restrooms are always dirty and there were garbage bags/empty cardboard boxes in a couple of places in the first floor. Children are walking on the hallways unsupervised. While waiting in the waiting area, some parents came in and wanted to fight other parents. Parents waiting with me were talking about how bad the school is and how children are bullied or fighting all the time and how disrespectful everyone is there. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Major changes need to be made and it should start from the administration leaders.Other Review9y ago5 Reviews - Scranton School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWould never recommend this school don't take your kids to this school at all, they didn't even try to be nice to my child on the first day. Kept yelling at my child even when my child was just new and didn't know what to do and expected him to know what he was doing! This is not right and the staff are on here giving Thereselves 5 star reviews just to bring more attention on their school and lure kids do not trust them. Everyone in here is fake.Parent Review3mo ago7 Reviews - Tremont Montessori School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am surprised the physical building is still standing. It is old and depressing to see. There is no hospitality when you approach the building other than a bunch of cars in a lot. The classrooms are very dull and boring. There is no cheerfuls colors. Hallways are dark and drab.Teacher Review5y ago4 Reviews
