"35 min door to door, I have 4 ways to move out of my neighborhood. But it can be challenging when there are jobs on the subway and the tram can get pretty busy during the weekend"

"Amazing commute via public transportation you can use the tramway to Manhattan, the F train uptown and downtown with all other connections and the Q102 to Astoria Queens, ride a city bike or drive. 👏 🙀 😮 "

"Quick and easy. Lots of options:subway, tram, ferry, car, bicycle. I’ve never seen anyone try to swim (no doubt illegal) but even that might be technically feasible if you are feeling particularly cheeky. "

"Pros: Safe and quiet oasis in the middle of Manhattan. Many many families with kids. Diverse population. Lots of international residents. Completely accessible for wheel chair users & strollers. Amazing river views everywhere. Well maintained paths around the whole island. Parks and playgrounds abound. No rats!! None! No garbage on the streets. Free “red bus” transportation. Cons: Spotty weekend F train. Virtually nowhere to eat out & almost no food deliveries. 1 grossly overpriced, poorly stocked grocery store. "

"Still feels limited despite the F train, tram, and ferry as well as car service options. A second subway line would be great. "

"My favorite area in nyc. If if we’re not for the expensive condos I would raise my family here. Overall perfect neighborhood for students/young professionals working in Manhattan/families who can afford the rent or mortgage for a big family. "

"It’s nice. Expensive but nice. If you have the money it’s cool to raise a family here. If you don’t have the money look elsewhere "

"It is like living in a park yet 3 minutes to Manhattan and/or LIC. Very good neighborhood if you'd like to relax after hectic work. Very well connected with F train with main spots in Manhattan. I'd say probably the best neighborhood in the city when you consider all parameters."
