NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible superintendent. She is a dictator and makes really bad decision. Teachers are leaving in droves. She is only about the money. If you forget to pay the lunches within 15 days you get a letter stating your child can not comeback to school but has decided that for all the tuition you pay along with the technology fee (Technology at this school is non existent.) She will rip the teacher out of the class room and force your children a grade down, Only to save the money. She knows she has you between a rock and a hard spot because who wants to pull their child out and put them in a strange school the last 9 weeks.Parent Review14y ago4 Reviews - Holy Cross Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParents, Please Stay Informed and Involved! Many families have shared concerns about how issues are handled at this school, especially in middle and high school. Reports of bullying and inappropriate behavior have been raised for years, yet some parents feel these situations remain unresolved. While families were told serious disciplinary action, including possible expulsion, would be taken, they report seeing little follow-through and the offenders. Several parents have contacted local authorities, including the Toms River Police Department, and filed complaints, but their children have not received adequate support. Concerns have also been raised about possible drug activity among older students. Parents are encouraged to have open conversations with their children and stay actively involved, as bullying and its impact on mental health remain serious issues. Academically, many families feel the school emphasizes test preparation and memorization over holistic learning. Several parents note the environment becomes significantly more stressful beginning in 5th grade.Other concerns raised include:•No full-time nurse onsite•Limited extracurricular offerings (primarily basketball and volleyball)•Few or no clubs for middle and high school students•No guidance counselor available•Students report hesitation to bring concerns forward due to fears of outdated disciplinary practices and inconsistent accountability. Some parents feel disciplinary decisions sometimes prioritize enrollment stability over addressing serious issues, which creates frustration and a perception that accountability is lacking. Additionally, the school’s website does not allow public reviews or open feedback, which limits transparency. This review is meant to raise awareness. Transparency, accountability, and trust between families and leadership are essential. Parents are encouraged to stay engaged, ask questions, and make decisions based on their own experiences and observations.Parent Review2mo ago12 Reviews
