Hillside Terrace

My son went to Newell and we had a wonderful experience. He was challenged educationally, but also gave him the support he needed if he ever struggled. We lost my husband when my son was 8. The school rallied around us, gave my son the love he needed away from home. The guidance department gave him a safe place to talk and share his emotions. By time he was in 4th grade he wrote a book with the guidance counselor so he can help other kids who lost a parent. He’s now in HS and an honor roll student who is well rounded and a hard working student.

This school is really good for those who want to learn about many different things in an easy way. In my experience the teachers are nice but strict they keep the classroom set at expectations which I like because it helps me learn. I have made a lot of friends not just in this school but other schools in the Robbinsville community. However, when it comes to support for students when it comes to bullying and looking for support the support tends to be short term and makes you look bad. But otherwise amazing school! I’ve learned a lot here and I use some of that knowledge in my personal life.

We have had a wonderful and supportive experience with this school. My children absolutely love their teachers and come home excited about school. There are multiple opportunities for parents to engage in the classroom and many PTA events as well. They offer specialized focus groups for you to sign your children up for (like socialization, and self-positivity). We moved to Robbinsville specifically to be in this school and district. The diversity in the school is also a plus.

All the subjects are fine except for English; I learned more from a textbook I used than any of the classes I had for English. Most of the teachers are pretty nice. It’s a safe environment. Overall, it’s an alright catholic school in NJ, Trenton area.
