Milltown

Very happy that my daughter went to Bradley gardens.

There is serious concerns regarding the special education program at Milltown. Compared to other schools, the support provided here is significantly lacking.Please be aware that students are not receiving the necessary social and emotional support. In many cases, the treatment of the children has been so poor that it has resulted in trauma. Furthermore, there is a deep lack of consistency in the teaching staff, with frequent and prolonged absences every year that disrupt the students' learning environment. I strongly advise families to research other areas and schools to ensure their children receive the care and education they deserve.

The quality of a student’s education at Midland School truly depends on which teacher and classroom your child is placed in. There are some amazing staff members there who genuinely care about the students and go above and beyond every single day. However, there is also a major lack of consistency across classrooms, and administration does not seem concerned about addressing it.Over the past two years especially, the school has developed a culture where favoritism, micromanagement, and staff turnover have become major issues. Strong employees are often overworked and heavily scrutinized, while other staff members are allowed to do the bare minimum without accountability. In some elementary classrooms, students spend excessive amounts of time sitting in front of screens with little meaningful instruction or engagement, yet administration appears more focused on retaining warm bodies than ensuring quality education.The reality is that Midland struggles to keep staff, and instead of addressing why so many people leave, leadership seems willing to hire almost anyone just to fill positions. This has significantly impacted the overall quality and consistency of services students receive. Families should know that while some classrooms are wonderful and nurturing, others may not provide the level of structure, teaching, or support that students deserve.There were also occasions where health and safety concerns appeared to be handled inadequately. For example, classrooms were temporarily relocated due to reported mold concerns, yet students and staff were returned shortly afterward despite ongoing concerns. This raised serious questions about the school’s decision-making and prioritization of student and staff well-being.Morale among staff is also very poor. Administration tends to micromanage employees rather than support them, and there is a noticeable atmosphere of favoritism depending on who you are. Many staff members feel undervalued, unsupported, and burnt out. Unfortunately, this directly affects the students as well.The students themselves are incredible and deserve the best possible educational environment. There are caring professionals at Midland trying their hardest every day, but the leadership issues and inconsistency across classrooms make it difficult to confidently recommend the school overall.

The administrative staff and teachers go above and beyond my expectations.
