"I love West Salem! You can walk to the baseball games, downtown, Church and Old Salem. Granville park has family events-live music and the tennis courts are awesome. It is downtown living so if you expect the same experience as rural living it is not for you. I never experienced a problem in 10+ years of living in West Salem."

"I've lived here 3 years.Didn't have a choice.I see drug deals daily.This is not family friendly.If you party you'll fit in fine.If not look else where.The roaches are nicer than some of the neighbors."

"A lot of violence in this area. We do not feel safe after two years of issues. I cannot have packages delivered to my home as they are stolen off the porch! A lot of transient foot traffic!"

"West Salem is a wonderful place to live...close to everything! You can walk to baseball games, museums, great food and live music, and there is a wonderful park with tennis courts and a playground at the end of the street. There is a strong neighborhood association and everyone is great. Very diverse and warm."
