Bethel Hill

Bethel Hill is not what it use to be. I don't know if it's because of new leadership or just that they have special "waivers" when it comes to performance and responsibilities. I had my child there for two and a half years. Kindergarten teacher was wonderful but then came first grade. The teacher sent home stacks of homework for my first grader. We would be up to 10pm most nights completing it. It was like I was home schooling my child and the school was doing nothing. To top it off the teacher was pregnant and was in and out of class throughout the year leaving random substitutes to just sit in the classroom and pass out homework. At the end of the year my child was behind. The school failed her. She had to be tutored the entire summer to catch up. We flipped the bill. We decided to give it another go in second grade. No different. Same scenario. Homework sent home was not even close to grade level. It was like 5th grade material. So we eventually made the decision to transfer our child to Woodland Elementary. Best decision we made. Bethel Hill School failed my child and from what I hear from other parents, it has failed many. It's ashame.
