9 out of 10 but I give Ms McGuire and Ms Benson (reading tutor) a big 10+....sweethearts.

Not a good school. Sad because we live in the same neighborhood and our kids went there for a few years. There are some great teachers there but the rezoning of the districts made a lot of rough kids from rough homes go to that school. We now drive 30 mins each way to take our kids to a much better school. The principal and assistant principal pretend to care but they are more focused on the lesser fortunes kids than the kids that do right and can read and spell etc. Do not put your kids on this school. They will be bullied in kindergarten and come home a different child. Again some great teachers like the music and art teacher and the gym teacher and the kindergarten teachers but not a good school for overall development of your child. Also the school is completely rundown and dirty. I went to a PTA meeting and had to use the restroom and that was the moment that I decided my kids are done at JES. brown toilet sits and just disgusting conditions. School needs a complete overhaul. Start with the principal.

My 3 children feel safe and loved by both students and staff. They have progressed academically and are positioned to attend college. More than this they are getting envolved at church singing and playing the piano because their freinds are. It is good to have my kids at a school that helps them grow spiritually as well as academically.
