3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGibsonville elementary will refuse an iep /504 for an autistic/adhd child , then when that child needs help they'll send older children to dress and help them in the bathroom. My child asked for other child to leave, so can change and child refused. They don't require adults to be in the bathroom with more then one child , especially if they are special needs. My child has been compared to by the principal multiple times, "saying she isn't as bad as her son who does receive an 504/iep". The teachers are getting a list of traits with hyperactivity boys with adhd for flags of needing extra school support in inattentive adhd in girls.. The teachers aren't able to supervise the children well enough that my child got physically assaulted twice , verbally assulted, when the teachers are overwhelmed, or don't have work for the kids, or the playgrounds are wet , or lunch, they sit them infront of screens . Ive seen children with learning disabilities fail subjects and moved to the next grade, still not understanding . We tried to use the public system however I found through my 6yo when she got hurt and or in trouble. When she tried to advocate for her self, her report card showed disrespectful, later the teacher said she's bossy and blunt(like an audhd person is when frustrated they arent being heard. While I spoke to the school counselor about this, she called my daughter perfect as she touched my daughters hair without her permission. Im very upset on how they treated my child and that principal should of been fired not retired. We didn't even have a three way conversation with the kids who assulted mine. They don't want you to talk to the other parents either. This is control not communityParent Review11mo ago6 Reviews - Marvin B Smith Elementary

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is a rising 2nd grader and has attended Smith since kindergarten. There is palpable commitment from the faculty for students to succeed. The principal and vice principal know the children by name and make them feel like part of a big family. Smith is a great school and we are thankful that our dtr is flourishing there.Parent Review8y ago3 Reviews
