We have had 2 kids at this school but are not lifers. There are great things here but so many politics that directly impact students, and staff is absolutely involved! For 30k/yr you might look at options before falling for their (and insider parents) sales pitch. Administrators refuse to handle issues; they just manage parent complaints. And if you're an outsider, forget it -- you won't find resolution. There's no central agency for oversight and that is a major problem. Education can be good if your kid gets the right teacher. Otherwise, expect to be frustrated and disheartened. This very much applies to athletics as well! Pembroke is designed to take care of its own and you'll sell your soul to be part of that group. The lunches are healthy. The bathrooms have constant plumbing and odor issues. Freedom With Responsibility is a joke. Freedom With the right connections is a better tagline...
