Washington School puts little emphasis on children academically. They focus more on meeting the bare minimum to get by. There is no going above and beyond at this school. My daughter attends Washington and we have been very disappointed with the school as a whole. It feels as if it's the environment of a daycare center. Also, kids use a lot of inappropriate language and there is a lot of bullying.

This school is great! It offers support before the school year even begins with teachers offering to visit their in-coming students and families at their homes (home visits) or at school. The teachers strive to form relationships with families before even starting their instruction. The faith based qualities of the school play a huge role in supporting the development of a moral compass that matches Biblical teachings, which was very important to my family. Class sizes are smaller than the local pubic school, but the school is large enough to offer some great athletic options. While the school itself does not offer Special Education services, they do work with the local public schools for these services for student that qualify, and they have strong accommodations within the general education classrooms. There is also an intentionality to build a sense of connection between the grade levels so there are older students assisting younger students in different settings.
