NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a student at this school and it sucks. They have no real field trips for 7th and 8th graders the only real field trip for 8th graders is at the end of the year. This school does nothing if you file bullying reports and also does nothing if you have a hard time. The nurse that is on leave currently will only give us water no matter what we go down for.Student Review2mo ago8 Reviews - Old Town Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended this school and the staff was phenomial. The staff genuinly cares about their students and work with the parents to create a terrific learning experience. The principal gets to know every student and not just by name. The cirriculum is top notch and children are challenged to excel.Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Viola Rand School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile this school does have lots of fun events, there are many issues with this school. This school teaches at such a slow pace it puts kids behind their peers and doesn't let them grow at the pace they need. There are no resources available to kids below second grade who excel academically to further themselves and not get bored. There are very limited academic resources for those in second grade and beyond. I would highly recommend going elsewhere if your child excels academically. You can try to petition to go to Old Town Elementary for the resources available there, but there is no guarantee you will get in. Old Town Elementary does have the resources available to help students who excel and teach kids at the pace they need to succeed, whether ahead or behind.Additionally, Viola Rand has no true gymnasium, it is combined with the cafeteria and rarely used for gym class. Recess is taken away on gym days in the winter and stormy days mean walking quietly in the halls.Parent Review3y ago1 Reviews
