4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not send your children here, unless you're a townie. My daughter attended this school for 4 years (k-3rd). In 2nd grade a child stood up in class a claimed he'd brought a gun to school. Rather than suspending him, they simply asked him to apologize to the whole class and he was back just a few days later. My daughter was bullied and struggled the entire time she was here, despite her being the sweetest kid. The superintendent will send you generic messages if you voice concern, but nothing will be done unless you threaten them with a lawsuit. She now goes to school over an hour away to escape the chaos and abuse, and she's thriving. Run, and move out of lisbon/lisbon falls if you value your child's emotional well-being, and education.Parent Review5mo ago9 Reviews - Open Door Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a wonder this school hasn’t been shut down. Many of the teachers degrade the students to the point the student is in tears. They have been known to make students cry just by how they speak to them. If a student has any sort of learning disability they will receive no help whatsoever and will be made to feel as if they are stupid. Most of the teachers do not have a teaching license, take that as you will. They use their religion as a weapon. They teach students to hate anyone that is the slightest bit different. This school has caused long lasting problems for many of the students. The merit system and the way it is in forced teaches students that one mistake is detrimental. The school is also wildly sexist and teaches young girls that their place is in the home doing whatever their husband should tell them to do. It teaches young boys they can do whatever they want because they are men, and it teaches young girls that they have no worth as a person if they don’t follow the rules of what a woman “should” do. They teach young girls that they must obey whatever a man says. The school teaches young kids that men practically own women. I have seen myself how those children grow up and the people they become from that teaching. The boys become men that think they are all mighty just because they are a man. The boys also grow up to be men that have to basic respect for women and their bodily autonomy. The girls grow up to be women that won’t stand up for themselves in general but in particular if a man hurts them because they were taught from a young age that men can do whatever they want and women must listen. This school is not a pleasant place to grow up. If you couldn’t tell by reading this I would not recommend sending your child/ children here.Other Review1y ago3 Reviews
