I have two children who attend this school. My first child has went to other schools who didn't seem to care about the children. Here the staff meets you ever morning and evening, they are also always working so hard with the students. My children think that school is like a second home and they love going there, that should say volumes about what kinda school it is.

I have been impressed by this small school. I have grown up in Johnson county and attended the county school system. I decided to move my children to Piantsville for the one on one attention the teachers are able to give due to the smaller classroom size. The pricipal has impressed me as he is outside every morning greeting the children rain or shine and the kids really feel comfortable with him and his staff. They know my children by name and allow me to be a part of their education in any way possible. The teachers are wonderful and truly treat each student with respect no matter who their parents are or how much money they have. I know in this small town over the years people have gotten the impression Paintsville is the "Rich" school well I have not seen this to be an issue at all. The effort to make each child feel a part of the school and education process is impressive. I would suggest Paintsville to anyone who wants their childs education to come first.

I cannot say enough about the high quality of education as well as daily life lessons they share at Our Lady of the Mountains. I have two children enrolled and they love going to school! Small class sizes enable the students to learn not only the State standards of learning but also to respect themselves as well as others. That seems to be lacking in the world today. OLM reinforces the quality of life. The students who have attended the school not only go on to become successful individuals but also caring individuals. I would HIGHLY recommend this school to any partent who has children of school-age years.
