When he started, he couldn't read, couldn't write his name, did not know his alphabet and could not count to ten. We were concerned that he might have to repeat. However, he had an awesome teacher who invested in him and by the end of the year, between his teacher and work at home to reinforce his learning, he could read, write and even add and subtract. He got the most approved award at Kindergarten graduation and his confidence soared! For the 2015-2016 year, we enrolled our nine year olds at Eastern after having been in private school for a couple of years. They have wonderful teachers and our daughter is on the all A honor roll and has been invited to join Jr. Beta and our son is on the A/B honor roll. The administrators and teachers at this school play to the children's strengths and are a great source of encouragement to the children and open to parental involvement as well. We love our school. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has some learning disabilities and has struggled a lot with school in the past. We transferred him to Highland from another district and I was amazed at what a positive atmosphere Highland has and how much my son’s confidence level and attitude about learning has changed. Teachers at Highland have seen his worth and are encouraging him to succeed and he has made sooooo much progress!Parent Review8y ago3 Reviews
