Goose Island

Our first child is in her second year at BSC (Reception), and so far we love it. Most importantly, she wakes up happy and excited to go to school each morning. Her development these past two years has been off the charts. Her teachers have all been great - passionate, super-friendly, and candid. You won't get the sense of community you may find at your local parochial school, but the education makes up for it. Worth every penny.

We have been blessed to be a part of this special school for 4 years. It has nurtured our daughters academically, socially, and most importantly, spiritually. The foundation of instruction is a Biblical worldview, and the teachers live what they teach. It also offers a loving and inclusive parent community with many opportunities to serve in the classroom and connect both inside and outside of the school. We love CHA Chicago!

This is a "boy" friendly school. Which matters of course if you have a boy that wants to compete and be ambitious. You won't appreciate that until you enroll you son in a school with an "everyone gets a trophy" philosophy, and no running or playing real physical in recess or gym, and watch him start disengaging from school. It took a lot of research, but short of enrolling boys in an all male school, this is as close as it gets in Chicago. Plus, we found in their previous private school that was rated one of the top in Chicago, all transfers from British were far ahead of everyone. That should tell you something.
