My daughter spent multiple years here and our family has loved the experience. We will be signing up my youngest once he is of age to join but in the meantime I have referred several friends to DMS and will continue to do so. The lead teachers onsite have all been there for years a and truly care about each child. The school size is smaller meaning you get to know a lot of the folks attending and teaching even if they arent in your classroom. Safe, warm and welcoming environment! Highly recommend!

I debated on writing this as my child does attend this school currently. This school has a mix of great teachers and okay teachers.We've been disappointed with how parents treat other parents. Parents are in cliques, they keep their kids in the same circle and are not welcoming to other newer parents/families. The disappointment comes in with realizing that we send our child to this Catholic school to learn values. This value with how parents do not treat others as a community is a struggle with showing my child why attend this school. When at Church, we feel like outsiders. I was hoping my child would have developed great friendships. Over the years, it does not seem that it can be possible with a good amount of parents keeping their kids in certain circles and clearly excluding other kids in the same grade. I'm not sure if it is racism, snobbishness, some sort of discrimination, and/or years of that is just the way this place is. It is unfortunate, as there is so much more I want to share about this school and lack of community. There are not many families that are genuine here and I had my moments with questioning the Catholic faith because why are we exposing my child to an environment that maybe discriminating against a student. It makes me sad that we don't know who we can go to at the school and/or parish to share our thoughts/feelings without retribution. The other aspect and/or suggestion folks may say is just stop going to this place. Our thoughts are we are placing our faith and hope for better outcomes in a Catholic community that should have some share values. I know change can sometimes take awhile. Hopefully, parents and community can see the more harm they are doing than good. I'm sad I'm putting my child in this situation. I hope that my child is learning from this overall experience in a positive way. Maybe years from now it is worth it. Although I hope I'm not messing my child up by keeping them going to this school and attempting to he a part of the parish family. It just brings me sadness and tears that a Community that has the means can treat other families as if they are not welcomed. I do want to thank the teachers that seemed to treat my child fairly, with care, avoidance of their bias, and helpfulness towards success. Thank you St. Petronille Community that actually care. Please do better for the St. Petronille Community that actually do not care.
