We have had an amazing experience. 3 kids combined in the school and we could be happier with the principal, teachers, and other families that are part of this amazing school.

Worst school ever involved with. Bullying is not dealt with appropriately and instead a child who has a normal reaction to the chaos and bullying allowed at this school gets punished and ridiculed. There are also projections of personal issues from staff members dumped on the child and their families. The family is then left to carry the burden and trauma of the issues created at this school and then the school expects the child and family to just disappear with no accountability on the part of the school. Some teachers are demeaning, unprofessional, and often there is so much chaos in certain classrooms that makes it very hard for a child to feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable here. And it causes so much confusion for a child to have to deal with all of that and then be made to feel like it is all their fault. Children are not allowed to express themselves freely here which causes them to have to absorb all the negativity they encounter on a daily basis until they can no longer handle it. And then they are traumatized even more by being punished for needing to release it all. Staff members also have no respect for a child or families personal boundaries.

St Joseph School is a great school that shapes students into becoming the best examples. Students are taught discipline and respect. The family centered education and small class sizes create an optimal environment for excellent learning.

If your child has special needs I would not recommend them. They do not have the same resources other schools and the public schools have. They will also combine class grades based on amount of students they have. I think this does a disservice to all students in the classroom.

Great student/ teacher ratio. Dedicated and loving staff. This is my fourth child graduating from Haili's 8th grade program and will be attending Kamehameha Schools. We've thoroughly enjoyed our 8th grade teacher and the atmosphere of trust and adventure for learning grew with the make-up of students this year. Haili is wonderful to take in all types of learners in many difficult situations including students who have been expelled from other schools. Haili teachers give our children a chance to grow and learn in a challenging but non threatening environment where everyone is treated with respect. Not all students embrace the opportunity and often find themselves making excuses for their behavior as my daughter often did. However, at the end of the year .... the tears rolled and the hugs for her teachers were heartfelt. She hopes Haili has a high school someday and that every student rises to his/her potential in Jesus. Haili will always face opposition because the message of love and truth in Jesus is taught there. If there were any improvements, I would say they could definitely use some funding to paint and make minor repairs on the buildings.
