The performance numbers have declined in our 5 years here and we are exploring other options.Parent Review6y ago3 Reviews - Norton Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has changed tremendously since the last principal left. Most of the staff not all, but a significant portion are extremely rude, and as an African American woman, the attitude and dismissiveness I have experienced from several staff members is absolutely unacceptable. I have three children who have all attended Norton, and I have lived in Snellville for more than 15 years. Over time, I have seen both the area and some of the schools decline. Concerns are often left unanswered or unresolved unless you take further action, such as reaching out to the district. The school also lacks diversity among staff, and there should be a stronger effort to reflect and represent the student population. At this point, I am planning to move by 2027, as I am done with the schools in this area. I strongly encourage leadership to either provide additional coaching for staff or consider necessary changes where appropriate. These children are our future and deserve better examples and a more respectful, responsive environment.Parent Review1mo ago23 Reviews - Rosebud Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a mother who grew up in an underfunded public school. This experience made me want to homeschool my children to ensure they are getting the best attention and education. Well, when it became time to enroll in kindergarten I checked out Rosebud and was thoroughly impressed by how well maintained the school was as well as many of the faculty and staff. My son has now been going to the school since kindergarten and had the most amazing teacher for entering school: Mrs. Squires!! She certainly challenged the kids and had lots of homework but it was all worth it in the end. Mrs. Squires always said she wanted her kindergarteners to be at second grade level leaving her class. I thought this was an amazing approach. The following two years were okay. However this year of third grade, his set of teachers are once again, PHENOMENAL. Principal Holmes, seems to care greatly about the performance of the cohorts moving through her school which is also highly appreciated. If you are on the fence about elementaries in the Gwinnett area this is not one to be concerned about.Parent Review6mo ago40 Reviews - Harbour Oaks Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school overall is beautiful exactly what you’d expect a Montessori school to be however it is abundantly clear if your child isn’t independent and neurotypical your child will not be accepted. For a school that receives special needs funding it was disappointing not to hear more of how children with special needs are supported vs how much they may not be a fit for the environment.Other Review5mo ago27 Reviews - Pentecostal Lighthouse
