How can this school be considered a "gifted and talented" school with a rating of 3/10?

Excellent teachers, staff, and dedicated community setting students up for success. Many of the students are bilingual or multilingual, which enhances the education of the other students. Peachtree Elementary is an ib (International Baccalaureate) school, the only public elementary school in the area that sets students on this most rigorous path to being a life-long learner. Instead of focusing on test scores, ib focuses on whole-person learning and development. Approx 15:1 teacher to student ratio. The school offers many community programs throughout the year.The community is a healthy mix of homeowners and renters in the high-income Peachtree Corners area of metro Atlanta. The school is a PBIS school of distinction, the highest level of achievement in this positive discipline program. Even when kids mess up, they are treated with dignity, respect, and the loving belief that they can and will do better. Students leave this school prepared for real success in middle and high school.There is community tension between this public elementary school and another public elementary school, but the majority of those who dislike Peachtree have not seen the school or the students in over a decade.

The school is closed....It closed in 2018

I left Wesleyan after my Freshman year, why? My experience was terrible. I went there for 11 years and not once did I feel like there was any concern for me or anyone’s mental and physical wellbeing and health. All this school truly cares for is their reputation and nothing else. It’s horrible to see that what i thought was a top school in georgia be the worst experience in my life. Even after me leaving, my sister (who’s still there) is a senior, and she does dance like 24/7 it’s everything to her. Wesleyan told her that she needed a required PE credit, in which would be fulfilled if they would just sign her off since she dances all the time, but no, they forced her to start taking strength class instead. Another thing is that my sister has a condition where if she works her body like that in which for strength, her spine can make it hard to breathe for her. My mom has been trying very hard to fight against this but no matter what Wesleyan doesn’t care for her, just their reputation.
