All my kids attend and attended Church Street Elementary School. This school has teachers that respect all race and care for kids, especially kids that are respectful. The teachers knows each students weaknesses unlike other schools. I don't see that many false teachers unlike other schools. The things I'd change are the dirty bathrooms, the food with bits of hair, the substitute teachers that don't pay attention and misjudges things without asking questions, and the safety of the kids in the morning from unloading of kids on the side of the building without any school staff at 7:05 am for breakfast. I rate 4 stars due to myself caring more for my kids education and the respect and care my kids get from the teachers.

Horrible!!! Would not recommend at all!!! Especially not for kids with special needs. Horrible, horrible, horrible! I told the principal I would report to the board and her response was “all they are going to do is call me and ask me what happened” like what!!!!?

If you care about your child’s safety find another school for them to learn and grow. This school will place your child on the wrong bus even after submitting proper paperwork for change . When reaching out to the principal Dixon character , she doesn’t respond to parents concerns . This school’s focus needs to be towards running a school and not a janky daycare . The teachers are always absent in kindergarten and they especially do not ensure safe dismissal home for the younger children. The school should be shut down and it’s sad that this is how they are treating a predominantly people of color community

Definitely lacking resources and support especially with the special needs classrooms. Don't get me wrong some of the teachers in general ed were great since I had kids in both but this school needs a lot of work. I felt that the special needs classrooms weren't included enough and one of the issues was because of the teacher not wanting to give things a try. Administration not trying enough for our children that need extra support and that goes hand on hand with the lack of support from the county as well. An instance where my son fell and hit his head and I was never given a call "because I didn't have your phone number". There were occasions were I felt my son was being discriminated because of his disability and wasn't given a fair chance at trying new things such as the bookfair or playground. We left the school when we had the chance and my son is now thriving at his new school in a new county.

Solid Rock Academy is a good school. They have programs like the Black History Program to give students an opportunity to show off their talents. That's where alot of the students begin their public speaking, which builds character. They do black history daily so the students can learn about their history. They have devotion every morning, where the students hug someone before they go to class, I think that's great most kids walk out the door without a hug from anyone. Before devotion is finished, they always provide a motivational phrase to encourage and make the atmosphere positive. Uniforms are worn so that everyone looks the same, that reduces bullying because most students are picked on because if what they have on but everyone there looks the same. They do have field trips, which helps the students bond, that also decreases bullying. The field trips are educational and the students learn alot. The classroom atmosphere is pleasant especially when the students are learning. My child enjoyed her stay there, the Science Fair projects prepared her for a of the projects she had to do in Public School. The programs helped her give a great audition for the drama team. She had confidence when she left so when she did go to public school she knew what she could do and had already mamlde life long friends. She was able to spell and read because of the strong phonetics she got from Solid Rock. She could write papers and research because she learned it there. She missed the food because at Solid Rock nothing was processed everything was fresh. Overall Solid Rock is a good school it's like most schools, it's what you make of it. You do have to follow rules something most kids can't do not do now. You can't curse the teacher or disrupt the learning process, slip out a door skip class or any of that because they are ways in the hallls looking. I'm glad I picked the school it gave my child a good foundation.

Both my girls have gone to this school since 1 years old and they love it. It is an extension of my family. As a parent, I get involved and support the teachers and love everything about it. The Christian environment is top notch. Highly recommend!

Counterpane is a very special school. It doesn't take very long for one to realize this. The environment is welcoming for kids, and invites them to learn, explore and play in a self directed way. Their approach is unique, and as a parent building technology for the future of work I wouldn't want my child anywhere else. The level of independence, discipline, hands-on and self-directed learning they provide is exactly what would be critical for a future where simply knowing wouldn't be enough. One where critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and self responsibility would separate those who succeed from those who do not. I don't know any other school in the area that comes close in these aspects. My four year absolutely loves the school, and thanks to their Souns program, he is already a confident reader.This is not a conventional school. Their approach is different but it's effective. They make some conscious tradeoffs and ask a bit from parents, in my view. Most of the parents here are like minded in what they want for their kids. The staffs are friendly, dedicated and diverse.They offer an opportunity for parents to experience the school as a child and it's a great way to see first hand how they do what they do. There is no better school to start your kid in the Fayetetville area.
