I'm grateful for the experience my child had at Nickajack. The PTA's enthusiasm is infectious, and his first-grade teacher, Ms. Byrd, was exceptional. I also appreciated the extracurricular opportunities available through the PTA. The school's staff is warm and accommodating. While no school is perfect, I was pleased with Nickajack's efforts to support my child's daily needs, including assistance with toileting. They promptly responded to my request for an occupational evaluation, which was incorporated into his IEP. One area for improvement, however, is ensuring that all accommodations are formally documented in the IEP. As we've relocated to a new county, I'm interested in seeing how his new school will address the accommodations that Nickajack provided but didn't include in his IEP.

Our daughter recently graduated from Whitefield and is considered a "lifer." She's been there since PreK and so has our son who is now in 9th grade. We know that no school is perfect but Whitefield gets pretty close. Our daughter has accomplished more than we ever dreamt she would in school. The experiences and chapters at Whitefield will serve her well for years to come. Whitefield does an amazing job at preparing kids very well for college, but more importantly, partnering with parents to help shape children's characters into humble, kind, gracious, and faithful adults.

I’m not sure about the upper level school. However, the preschool isn’t great. The teachers are young and inexperienced. The infant classroom is great but the one year old classrooms are horrible.
