I am a parent of Tobacco Road. I have two children there and I love the school. They have the best teachers and my children are very happy. The principal and the teachers have high expectations not only for academics, but for behavior as well. My daughter is in kindergarten and she is READING! I am so glad my children go to school there.

Hephzibah Elementary has failed my child overall in her most important years of academics. Prek-1st grade she has been overlooked and I have had to reach out on several different occasions on getting my child the help that she deserves in her academics. Her entire 1st grade year the school did not provide her classroom with a stable teacher. She’s had a multitude of substitute teachers and teachers in just her 1st grade career. Instead of the principle dividing the classroom into more permanent teacher classrooms they allowed each of our children get further behind on the growing curve. I have overly done my part at home. I have followed as many resources to help my child from after school programs and putting her in speech. I truthfully regret enrolling my child into this school and if I can save one family from making the mistake that I did it would mean the world to me. Please enroll your child in an education system that cares! Please!!

The teachers are not helpful they just yell at your kids when they don’t get how to do their work and they cuss and say inappropriate things

Most teachers are mean and rude. Also, doesn’t help much on children with learning disabilities. This school is dirty and has cockroaches from what my children have told me. There is a lot of bullying that takes place there to.

Diamond Lakes Elementary is a school with heart. The caring teachers, supportive environment, and emphasis on student recognition make it a positive place for children to grow. While there are challenges—particularly around academic performance and communication—the school shows real potential, and I believe with continued focus and parent involvement, it can improve further.
