This school is mostly African American kids if you have white children they will be treated definitely then the others if you reach out to the administration for any issues they do nothing about it I've tried to switch school for this year but was denied for the other school supposedly being full what options do you have none apparently you feel stuck I hate coming to this school I can't even go eat lunch with my children because of the misbehaved children and none one does anything about it it's frustrating for a parent when you feel like everything is against you when your trying to get your children into a better school for them do better Fayette county your failing our kids

Our son has had a great experience with the teachers and classes.

This school lacks diversity and teachers/staff neglect certain demographics of students. The “ Fayette County way” is outdated and lacks rigor. These teachers depend to much on Fayette County’s reputation.This social climate has spilled over into the classroom. We have moved out of state and truly miss FMS. We moved to a very similar small private Montessori school, but have not had the same feel of community or parent support that this school excels at. The children are truly nurtured and their individuality is supported, while still learning the importance of community. Communication is excellent with parents! There is an enormous amount of love poured into the school and the children reap the benefits.

Our son started at Rising Star in August 2022 in the Toddler class, and choosing this school has truly been one of the best decisions we have made for our family.From the beginning, we could tell how much the teachers genuinely love and care about the children. Over the years, we have watched our son grow so much, not only academically, but socially and in his confidence and independence.He absolutely loves going to school every day. In fact, there are days when he cries because he doesn’t want to leave! As a parent, that says so much to me.Being able to go to work each day knowing that my child is safe, happy, loved, and learning gives me such peace of mind. Rising Star has become so much more than just a school to our family. It is a place where our son feels at home and where we know he is truly cared for.We are so thankful we found Rising Star and would recommend it to any family looking for a loving, nurturing place for their child to learn and grow.
