My kids thrived at Mcgarity. They encourage family engagement often, teachers communicate with parents weekly and are always willing to answer questions and support my daughters’ learning. My children have always felt safe and welcomed there. The PTA is highly involved which I love seeing. They are STEM certified as well!

The principal and staff here are in desperate need of professional skills in dealing with the parents and issues that arise. Mr. Wilder has a history of parent interactions that has led to unhappy experiences. He was very short tempered with me when I asked him to help with my special needs daughter getting access to scissors and cutting her hair repeatedly. The office staff is very rude and the teachers that I have worked with are very unenthusiastic about their job.

My son attended Vaughan from Kindergarten during Covid through graduating 5th grade. This school has been nothing short of amazing. Every year, it felt like over half of the grade was testing at over 85-90% with A or A/B honor roll. It is a testament to the families in the area as well as the great teachers at the school that have all been amazing for all 6 years. The administrators, teachers, special teachers, Target teachers, and PTSA have all seemed to truly care about the students progression, happiness and safety. It hurts me to see the school not getting a higher rating than it does.

We moved here only 9 months ago and started school with knowing absolutely no one. To say this school welcomed us with open arms is an understatement. The counselors even held a coffee meet and greet for all the new parents to come in and meet each other, along with the Principal and assistant principals. Everyone has been so kind, the teachers and staff LOVE their jobs. The school is clean, safe, and all about inclusivity. We’ve grown so much since we first started, making friends with parents and building our community here. This school is night and day from our old school. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to come here. We hope this helps the next family moving in!
